Risk category
Suitable for patients at risk to very high risk.
Pressure ulcer categories
For the treatment of all categories of pressure ulcers, as part of a package of care.
Use within this product’s intended setting, fit and user-weight limits, following clinical assessment and the current Instructions for Use.
Support the lower legs. Keep the heels clear.
Repose Flex supports the lower legs while keeping the heels clear of the support surface. Its shaped air chambers support the calf area and are designed to place the knees at approximately 5–10° of flexion. Integrated straps pass beneath the mattress to hold the support in position.
Choosing and fitting your support
Measure from the base of the heel to the midpoint at the back of the knee while the person is seated. The size ranges overlap, so confirm fit and positioning with the healthcare professional responsible for the care plan. Inflated product dimensions describe the support and are different from the user’s leg measurement.
| Size | Knee-to-heel measurement | Inflated dimensions |
|---|---|---|
| Extra Small | 41–46 cm | 420 × 700 × 90 mm |
| Small | 45–50 cm | 460 × 700 × 90 mm |
| Standard | 49–55 cm | 500 × 700 × 90 mm |

Repose technology in daily use
Manual inflation with Smart Valve
The correct Repose pump sets the intended inflation pressure. Inflate with the user off the product. Use the pump specified for the supplied configuration.
Clean, inspect and reuse
Repose can be cleaned and reused when the manufacturer’s cleaning and inspection instructions are followed. Check for damage and correct function before reuse.

Family fitting demonstration. Use the Small measurements and clinical fit guidance for the selected support. Follow the current product-specific Instructions for Use.
Daily checks and cleaning
Check inflation with the manufacturer’s daily squeeze check and inspect positioning and skin regularly. Reconnect the correct pump and top up within a maximum of 14 days; the daily check still applies between top-ups. Always inflate and top up with the person off the product.
Clean visible contamination with detergent, water and a non-abrasive cloth. In the absence of visible contamination, follow the manufacturer’s weekly cleaning guidance and local infection-control policy. Dry thoroughly. Do not machine wash, immerse or sterilise the inflatable support, and keep liquid out of the valve. Removable PU covers have separate washing instructions.
Clinical use and precautions
Keep the valve away from skin and avoid direct contact with open wounds or compromised skin. Seek clinical advice immediately if skin condition changes. Keep away from heat and sharp objects. The valve contains a metal spring: do not use near MRI equipment. Read the complete IFU before use.
Use as part of an assessed pressure-care plan, alongside appropriate skin checks, repositioning and other care. The support does not replace those measures.
Clinical information
Frontier lists these Repose-range references for Flex. They provide background on pressure redistribution and the Repose system; they are not trials isolating the current Flex sizes and do not establish prevention of deep-vein thrombosis.
Clinical assessment, skin inspection, repositioning and the wider care plan remain essential. Use the current product instructions for indications, precautions and maintenance; older study protocols are not instructions for present-day use.

Does quantity 1 mean one carton?
Quantity 1 is one Flex support with one small pump. Quantity 3 is three complete sets, each with its own pump.
Is a cover included?
The Flex sets shown contain the support and small pump. A separate outer cover is not included. The Standard Blue PU cover is an optional accessory for Standard Flex only.
Can I choose from the inflated dimensions alone?
Use the seated knee-to-heel measurement and the fitting guidance. Product dimensions describe the inflated support and do not replace an assessment of fit.
